About

This campaign has
already been run.

The players chose to be hags. The world did not recover. Roll Evil is the write-up of what happened, turned into something another table can run.

The Creator

It started as a home campaign for friends.

Roll Evil was born from running the Daughters of the Black Forest campaign for real players, and wanting to share what happened when the players got to be the monsters.

Every class mechanic has been tested at the table. Every campaign beat has been laughed through, argued over, and run again.

How it is being made

Nothing goes in the book because it sounded good.

Played first, written second

The campaign ran at real tables before any of it was typed up. What is printed is what survived that, not what read well in a document.

The numbers are simulated

Every class and subclass is run through a combat simulator against the published spells at the same level, so a new spell has to earn its slot rather than just sound powerful.

Built on the SRD

Roll Evil is unofficial content compatible with fifth edition, built on the System Reference Document. It needs the core rules, and it does not reprint them.

The art is AI generated

Said plainly rather than left for somebody to work out. The words, the rules and the campaign are not.

Playtesters are still breaking it. If something in the book is wrong at your table, that is worth more than a compliment. The early access list is where that conversation happens.
